About
About me.
I was born September 9, 1984. I am originally from Spokane, Washington. I briefly attended art school before leaving to pursue other interests. Several years later I began focusing on art again after discovering photography which has since become my greatest passion and life’s work.
Artist Statement.
I use color, composition, and texture to highlight the subject of impermanence. I’ve developed a destructive style of editing that involves heavy image distortion, layering, and digital manipulation. I shoot macro to reiterate the imminent nature and immediacy of separation. I photograph decaying and temporary surfaces to further compliment the theme of impermanence. My process is a constantly evolving experiment that allows me to explore new horizons of self expression. The aptitude of my work points directly towards the total degradation of the very image itself in both clarity and importance as time erodes and attention blends into history.
